Volunteer

Life is not all about money, and neither are all the ways you can help support the shift to a local economy. Volunteers are vital assets to build a local food economy. Homegrown Co-op offers many unique volunteering and internship opportunities.

Volunteer Program
Volunteers make the world a better place, and here at the co-op, we wouldn’t be where we are without them. We count on our reliable, knowledgeable and passionate volunteers to keep our Farm Store stocked and visually exciting, to make sure all the produce is handled with care, and to keep our customers happy and informed. We need your help to do everything from assisting with the Wednesday & Saturday pickup days, to helping with recycling, taking pictures, blogging, outreach & marketing, landscaping or whatever skills or gifts you have to offer the local food revolution.

Our volunteers have a lot of fun here, because they get to meet and interact with like-minded folks, get to know our farmers, and help people learn about a better way of life through the co-op. In addition to those rewards, we like to thank our volunteers by offering trade in the form of our fresh produce and other in-store items for purchase. We give Farm Store credit for each hour of volunteer work, and boy does that pay off! Just look at the happy faces on our volunteers!

Happy volunteers
