Frequently asked questions

Why did you start this co-op?

The goal of our co-op is to connect our community with local growers, providing a means of income and support for these producers, while providing ecologically-friendly, locally-sourced food for members of our community. We invite all who join to share this news with others and encourage them to be part of this exciting new way of exploring the rich diversity and good tastes of Florida produced foods.

I have a big garden. Can I sell my excess produce through this network?

Contact us to learn more. Apply to become a producer of our Co-op at our Online Market.

Do you need volunteers?

YES. Members of the co-op volunteer in a number of capacities: picking up produce, sorting orders, pricing, promotion, contact, and other operations. Our leadership chairs and teams are volunteer positions with great benefits. Invest in the cultivation of sustainable community by doing your part!

What kind of information will I know about these products?

You?ll know which farm they come from, what practices are used, and lots about each particular grower. We develop relationships with the growers and tour their farms to get to know the land and its caretakers. At our Online Market, members have the opportunity to see photos and read more about the individual growers we source from, where producers will tell the story of their family and farming operation.

What else do I need to know?

See our Terms of Service, member handbook, and be sure to thoroughly review how the market works at our market website.
